I've never really sat down to total up how much all this health crap has cost me (and by cost me, I mean cost my insurance). I suppose it has never really phased me because I have fantastic insurance through my university; because my university has it's own medical school--everything (tests, labs, surgery, etc.) is covered 100% so long as it occurs on my own campus.
So tonight, I sat down and went through the statements I've kept recently. I decided to compile it all into an excel document--just to see. The earliest statement dates back to November (mind you, this has been going on since April of '09), and there is undoubtedly some missing---but, I have a rough number. And it's scary.
Here's the total:
